Our 100th Post!

I just noticed that this makes post 100!
For this memorable post, I decided I would make a slide show with some of our "most popular" (based on most favorited, most viewed and most commented on) photos on flickr.

Oh Homie!

The Simpsons Movie just came out yesterday. I wasn't able to watch it but I was thinking about it when I came across this picture of Amy in the Bartlesville Wesleyan College (now Oklahoma Wesleyan University) yearbook. Ah, my sister was a great Marge Simpson. We both had went to this "Never Alone Banquet" with some guy friends of ours and were the most controversial couples there (for a private college). Amy and her date went as "Homer & Marge Simpson" (her friend was a terrible Homer) and me and my date went as "Austin Powers and Felicity Shagwell," I know, NOT one of my prouder moments. We had fun none the less and Amy shined that night with a 2 liter coke bottle tucked under her hair, standing on top of her head and her hair spray painted blue...it was wonderful. I remember going out to Sonic after the banquet and we had a hard time getting Amy's hair into the car. Fun times! Thanks Amy for this wonderful memory.

Stool Boom

Bryan purchased and assembled a stool (from IKEA) for Aubrey. Now, she mainly uses it to stand on while she brushes her teeth. She loves it. I noticed there was a sticker that came with it which illustrates the wrong way to use a stool. Thanks IKEA for helping "so we can be safe."


I especially love the illustration on the bottom right...do not step off of the stool the wrong way!

As I was creating this post, the song "Stool Boom" from Waiting for Guffman was playing in my head...I thought I would leave you with that as well.

Bryan put this picture on my desktop and I noticed that it was taken a year ago. My how time flies.I have always loved this picture of a proud dad holding out his sweet, beautiful daughter. I especially love Aubrey's eyes in this picture.

Sup-sup-suppertime!

4th of July in Pitkin

Our trip in Pitkin, Colorado for Independence Day was a success!
It is always fun hanging out with our wonderful family, hiking, enjoying the great outdoors, and watching striking fireworks in Gunnison. For those of you who don't check out our flickr account, check out The Bussey World Blog, (my sister-in-law and her husband's blog) for a sweet slideshow of our trip.

D-D-D-D-D-DORA!

I went for a while without showing Dora to Aubrey and she did pretty good. Blues Clues and Kipper will usually do the trick when she watches TV but it is amusing to watch her dance to the Dora theme song every now and again. Check it out! Oh yah, and excuse my singing in the background...I have kid songs running through my head constantly. MAKE IT STOP!

Anyway, at least this video is a lot cuter than some creepy Dora wannabees I have seen.
